Frequently Asked Questions & Helpful Info:

Cosmetic, Permanent Makeup and Paramedical Micropigmentation procedures normally require multiple treatment sessions. For best results, a touch-up appointment is scheduled 6-8 weeks after initial procedure. Please be aware that the color intensity will be significantly darker and sharper a few days after the initial visit and will reduce 40-60% during the healing process. Some clients may need to return for additional touch-up sessions depending on skin type. If numbing cream is used during the procedure, sensitivity or discomfort may still be felt. Skin may be red and/or swollen after procedure.

*Although extremely rare, there might be might be an immediate or delayed reaction to the pigment. Allergic reactions to anesthetic can occur. You may schedule a patch test at least two weeks prior to the procedure.

If you're prone to cold sores, you will need to use an anti-viral medication 1000mg L-Iysine or (Zovirax, Valtrex, Acyclovir) 5 days prior and 5 days post lip procedure to minimize the risk of an outbreakout. Two weeks before, you must hydrate lips, exfoliate lips, and drinks lots of water. Treatment cannot be performed if there is an active outbreak.

No lash extensions and no eye serums 12 weeks prior to treatment. No mascara 5 days before / after procedure. Do not use contacts when getting procedure done and avoid using 5 days after to prevent eye infections. Get lots of rest before and after your appointment. If possible go home after procedure and relax, no driving around doing errands.

If you are ill, have a cold or fever, are on steroids / antibiotics, we MUST reschedule your appointment. Unless medically necessary, do not take blood thinners at least 48 hours before your procedure. You must have written permission from your physician if you are taking Caumadin or Heparin. Please avoid things that thin your blood like Aspirin, Tylenol, Niacin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Fish Oils, Omega 3s, and herbals 48 hours before your procedure.

You must be off Accutane for 1 year before your procedure date. If you are using Retin-A, Retinol or Retinoids on your skin, please discontinue use on future treated area, including the forehead, at lease 7 days prior to your procedure. Avoid using them on or around the area for 30 days after. Please discontinue use of brow/eye serums at least 4 weeks before. Fillers or Botox should be done 4 weeks prior to your procedure and/or 4 weeks after your procedure. No plastic surgery, lasers or peels on or around the area within 3 months before / after your appointment. No electrolysis for at least 5 days before procedure. Hormone therapies can affect pigmentation and / or cause sensitivity. If you will be on your menstrual cycle, you will be more sensitive.

No sun or UV beds, sweating or tanning before your procedure. If you are sunburned in the treatment area, we will not be able to perform the procedure. If there are any blemishes, pimples, active cold sores, irritation of the skin of any kind in or around the area of the procedure, the procedure will be rescheduled until the blemish or area of concern is gone. Avoid alcohol or caffeine 48 hours prior to your procedure to minimize excess oozing or swelling after.

If you get your brows waxed or threaded, we recommend you have this done at least 48 hours prior to your procedure. If you get your brows tinted, we recommend you get it done 7 days prior to your appointment.

PLEASE arrive on time for your appointment for paperwork and numbing. Appointment will be rescheduled if you arrive later than 10 minutes. Wear minimal makeup so we can see your under/overtones.

We will go into further detail at our appointment, but absolutely NO SUN, SWEAT, WATER, STEAM, EXCESS WATER OR MAKEUP ON THE TREATED AREA FOR 7- 14 DAYS FOLLOWING YOUR APPOINTMENT or your healed result will be effected. (BROWS, EYES, LIPS HEAL AT DIFFERENT RATES, BUT CARE AND STAGES are SIMILAR.)
